On April 17, 2007, a majority of voters in West Aurora, Montgomery, North Aurora and Sugar Grove said they wanted to continue School District 129’s tradition of excellence.
The voters approved an operating rate that allows the District to improve student achievement by further implementing the four components of “Vision 129,” the District's comprehensive plan:
- Active community involvement,
- Financial responsibility,
- Safe and secure buildings, and
- Powerful teaching and learning.
During the past year, more than 2,000 residents have provided the district with valuable feedback on what to continue, cancel, change or create. This newsletter highlights some
of the actions we have taken as a result.
The school district belongs to the people. Everyone has both a voice and a shared responsibility for the health of its schools and the education of its students. Let’s continue to move forward together.
